RAM: 16 GB. Toolchain: WinLibs GCC 15.2.0 r7 · Release. The local stack renders setup, a forest title background and the opening storybook at about 2–3 FPS, then crashes on the Wwise thread before the first playable scene in 2/2 runs. Save/load is reported. #4949 merged, but clean main was not retested. Missing calibration images, triangle artifacts and memory pressure remain; opening playback is not controllable gameplay.

About the game

Resident Evil Village — Official game images

Ethan’s survival-horror sequel separates setup, storybook playback and controllable exploration.

Check the edition before testing

This page covers the PS5 release. A PS4 edition, native PC release or console performance mode is not an AnyPS5 test. Confirm the title ID and version before comparing reports.

A merged change is not a new game test. Open proposals may change or never ship. Check the commit and release before following a new setup instruction.

Merged into mainPR #4949

Sample-location defaults merged

#4949 initializes context registers 0x2fe–0x30d to documented clear-state values and merged as dacd78525e. It addresses the first-frame register refusal seen in RE4/Village. It is not a new release or a clean-main gameplay retest; Village’s local opening still crashes before its first controllable scene.
